Sundays are free days to get into all places (during the winter 'off season') but since everything is free for me since I am a student I avoided the major attractions like the Acropolis. I also decided to try to find spanakopita usually cheese and spinach filled pastry, but I didn't get that I got a veggie and cheese filled pastry instead which wasn't bad.
I went to the Panhellenic Stadium. This was the stadium where the first Olympic games were held. I took the audio tour which was okay. Here are some photos:

Then I headed back to the hostel. On the way I came across this building known as the Zappeion. I got there they were having a hardware/flooring convention going on so I was like ok weird then I left for my hostel.
When I got back to my hostel a couple of the friends I had made said they were going to go to Lycabettus Hill. So I decided to join with them. So proceed to walk to the hill then hike up it. The hike wouldn't have been that bad except it was zig-zaging so it was really long to get to the top. I found out afterward that there was a funicular/lift up to the top oh well I got some exercise which is good for me.There were terrific view from there. Here are some photos:
On our way back to the hostel we passed by the Parliament building. There was a huge protest going on something about immigrants wanting to have visa accepted so they can be citizens and Greece not granting them since once they get citizen right they are members of the EU and will travel north in hopes of finding jobs.
Then we went to get dinner we got gyros. On the way home I went on a quest to find baklava. Which I did--SO GOOD!
All over Greece there are cats and dogs that are "homeless" they just don't live at someone's house. They are all spayed and neutered and fed by the locals so they are healthy. Here is the dog that lives on the door step to the hostel and me petting one of the many cute kitties!
